Back To Basics Dog Training, up close

The business
Back To Basics calls itself "Sunderland's friendly dog training club". It runs group classes, puppy classes and 1:1 training, and the 1:1 sessions can come to your home.

What I built
Sarah's site has a page for each kind of training, with the classes and prices on show. Here is what's on it:
- Class pages for all classes, puppy classes and 1:1 training.
- A "Book a class" button and the phone number.
- A header that stays on screen as you scroll.
- A WhatsApp button.
- A contact form with a "what does your dog need" question.
- An FAQ, an About page and a blog.
The question on the form tells Sarah what each enquiry is about before she replies.
I suggest ideas and first thoughts for each page. Sarah decides the colours, photos and wording, and she can change her own words and photos herself.

How it works day to day
A visitor can look at the classes and prices, then call, message on WhatsApp, use the contact form or press "Book a class".
A local service business doesn't need a complicated site. It needs the classes, the prices and an easy way to get in touch, in the owner's own voice.
What Sarah says

From the very first call I knew Luke was going to be the man for the job. From start to finish the communication was clear, I knew what was happening every step of the way and I now have a website that I love. Luke gives you some great ideas and initial thoughts for the page but he lets you have full control of colour schemes, photos, information etc, it is fully customisable.
Built with
This site runs on WordPress with Elementor, a drag-and-drop page builder. I pick WordPress or Next.js for each job, and here is how websites are built.
On every website I build, I work to the same terms. The web address is registered in the client's name from day one. The site and everything on it, the files, the words and the photos, belong to the client once it's paid for.

More like this: a website for a Northumberland joiner and a website for a Sunderland wedding photographer. Back To Basics is in Sunderland. I'm a web designer in Sunderland, and I build for businesses across the North East.
