How I use AI (and how I don't)
I use AI tools to work faster on some jobs. I don't use them to cut corners, make things up or make decisions about your business.

Where I use it
- First drafts of writing.Nothing AI helped write goes out without me checking it.
- Code.
- Research.
Where I don't
- No made-up facts.No invented prices, stats, results or "customers say" lines. Every number on a page I write comes from you or from a source I can point to.
- No fake reviews or testimonials.Not ever.
- No bots pretending to be you.If a customer messages you, they reach you. I don't set up AI receptionists or bots that pretend to be a person.
- Nothing AI helped write goes out without me checking it.
Your choice
If you'd rather I didn't use AI on your project at all, tell me and I won't.

The tools I use
- Claude, made by Anthropic.
- ChatGPT, made by OpenAI.
- Anthropic's Claude Haiku 5.5, which writes the answers in this site's AI chat. It's the one place AI writing reaches you without me checking it first, so the chat says it's an AI, answers only from what's on this site, puts a WhatsApp button under every answer, and after your first question asks for your name and email, which come to me by email with that question.
I'll update this list when it changes.

Questions about AI and my work
Can AI build my website for me?
It can help, but I don't leave it to build one on its own. I design the site, and I check anything AI helped write before it goes live. My page on how websites are built explains what goes into one.
Does AI-generated content rank in Google?
I can't promise what any page will do in search. Google has published guidance on using generative AI content (opens in a new tab), and it's worth reading. What I can promise is my own rule: every fact on a page I write is checked before it goes live.
Are AI tools GDPR compliant?
I don't claim any tool is. If you want to know what a particular tool does with your data, read its own terms and privacy policy.
Are web designers going to be replaced by AI?
I don't know, and anyone who says they do is guessing. AI is useful for first drafts and checking work. It doesn't know your business, your customers or your town. I do the talking with you and I'm responsible for what goes live.
