I'm Luke Duff, a logo designer in Sunderland. I design logos, brand guides and business cards, on their own or with a new website, for businesses anywhere in the UK. You deal with me from the first message to the final files.
A new logo from scratch, or proper files for the one you already have. You pick the parts you need.
Need the website to go with it? I build that too.
A brand guide is the rulebook for your logo. Hand it to a printer, a signwriter or a web designer, and they can use your logo properly without ringing you. The 20-page guide I made for Box and Beam covers:
Yours can be much shorter.
He created a stunning website that perfectly showcases our inventory and helped us establish a strong brand identity from the ground up.
Had some great business cards made by Luke. Will definitely be using you for some work in the future.

You tell me about your business and where the logo needs to work. The call is free and takes 15 minutes.
I send a fixed price in writing before I start. You pay half to start.
I send my first designs. Three rounds of changes are included.
You pay the other half and get the final files.
Once it's paid for, the logo is yours, along with the files and the guide.
I price logo and brand work after the free call, because jobs vary. It depends on:

Not on day one. Your business name in a clear typeface can be enough, as long as you use it the same way on your website, Google listing, van and cards. You can add a proper logo later.
With me: logo files for screen and print, light and dark versions, a brand guide and business cards. You pick what you need.
The rules for using your logo: its versions, the space around it, its smallest size, the colours, the typefaces and what not to do.
You do. Once it's paid for, the logo, the files and the guide are yours.
I'm not a lawyer, so treat this as a starting point. GOV.UK says registering a trade mark with the Intellectual Property Office lets you take legal action against anyone who uses your brand without your permission. A UK registration lasts 10 years, and the GOV.UK trade mark guide (opens in a new tab) explains the costs.
